    Co-hosted by the Electrochemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) and Hainan University, and co-organized by Hainan University and Hainan Normal University, the 22nd National Electrochemical Conference was held in Hainan from November 5 to 8, 2024. Under the theme of "Electrochemistry for Advancing Carbon Neutrality and High-Quality Development", the conference centered on fundamental scientific issues, applied technical challenges and cutting-edge developments in the advancement of electrochemical science and technology. It comprehensively demonstrated the latest research progress and achievements in China’s electrochemical field, conducted in-depth discussions on the essence of electrochemical problems, their solutions and approaches, as well as the opportunities, challenges and future development trends confronting the sector, thereby promoting the development and progress of China’s electrochemical discipline.

    Meng Xianghui, Chairman of Allgrand Group, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Performance Optimization and Industrialization Progress of Sodium-Ion Batteries". With a history of more than 40 years since its inception, the 22nd National Electrochemical Conference is themed "Electrochemistry for Advancing Carbon Neutrality and High-Quality Development". The formulation of the dual carbon goals presents both opportunities and challenges for the electrochemical field—while accelerating the development of electrochemical technologies, it also inspires researchers to continuously develop new types of batteries to meet the growing energy demand and environmental protection requirements.

    Sodium-ion batteries have emerged as a timely solution, boasting distinct advantages such as excellent low-temperature performance, high safety, and abundant resource availability, while also featuring cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness. In recent years, with the continuous development of the sodium-ion battery industry, the energy density of sodium-ion batteries has been steadily improved, and significant breakthroughs have been achieved in cycle life. Adhering to its corporate mission of "Serving Green Energy, Perfecting Human Life", Allgrand Group has continuously upgraded its product portfolio from gel batteries and lithium-ion batteries to sodium-ion batteries. Committed to technological innovation as the core driving force, the Group has accelerated the R&D and achievement transformation of sodium-ion battery products. To date, Allgrand has successfully built the Phase I sodium-ion battery production line and established a Sodium-Ion Battery Engineering Research Center, dedicated to promoting the development and application of sodium-ion batteries.
